Mel was born in Argentina; she grew up with White Shepherds, her family had 4 generations of them. Mel spent some time in Canada where she volunteered at a sled dog kennel that hosted 55 sled dogs who were training to run the Iditarod. Mel settled in New Zealand nearly 20 years ago and now lives in Otumoetai Tauranga, where she has been operating a boutique boarding service for the last 4 years.

Mel is fascinated with animals, especially dogs and considers herself very fortunate to have the opportunity to look after animals, doing what she always loved.

She offers petsitting at her place (boarding), day care services and has looked after pets in people’s homes while they are away.
